Local Independent Charities of America

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world. Of the 1,000,000 charities operating in the United States today, it is estimated that fewer than 50,000, or 5 percent, meet or exceed these standards, and, of those, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal.

Oliver's Advice
Here I am again, this time though I don’t have any advice.

I want to share something sort of interesting that I saw in a book that my mom was looking at. It was a chapter on how your dogs talks to you. This a lot of times is true. It is in my case anyway because I have done some of these things. It is body language.

1. When your dog gives you a nudge with his or her nose it means they want affection and attention.

2. Lips drawn back and growling means anger.

3. Ears perked up means concentration.

4. Tail high and wagging means your pet is happy.

5. A bow (head down and rump in the air) this means playtime.

I thought this was pretty accurate; at least it is in my case, although I have never done the lips drawn back and growling. I love everyone and don’t get angry. I am a pretty easy going guy.

If you have any funny animal jokes, please send them to me, I would love to share them with everyone. Here is one that I have to share.

Question: What should you try to avoid after it rains cats and dogs????

Answer: All the Poodles

That is all for now, remember opt to adopt and I will see you next Month.
