Naming Contest

Help us select
a new name
for the
Humane Society!!

The Humane Society provides many different services in our county, i.e. animal control, live trap rentals, rescue injured animals, provide volunteer and community service opportuities, sell dog license, cruelty officer to help neglected and/or abused animals, school tours and education of proper pet care in our communities. Part of our mission is to care for animals, all animals, through veterinary care for the sick and injured; providing a warm, safe place for the homeless and to ultimately provide quality pet adoptions for all animals.

We are a not-for profit 501 (c) (3) organization in Pennsylvania and are not run by Warren County. Therefore we want to make sure our NEW name reflects all the good works we do for the animals. Even though we are not run by the county we are still an important part of Warren County. Just imagine if there was no place for the lost, sick, injured and homeless animals????

Soooo, get your "thinking caps on" and help us with a new name that will set a positive tone on our work. The entry period for the Contest begins on October 1, 2010 and will end on October 15, 2010 at 4:00pm.

The following rules apply:


	You must be at least 9 years old;
	You can submit as many ideas as you wish
	All entries will be held confidential by the Board of Directors of the Humane Society
	No purchase necessary to enter or win
	Limit of 10 words

To enter the contest click here and fill out the entry form or click here for a printable form to print and fill out with your suggestions and mail to 212 Elm Street, Warren PA 16365 or drop it off... Entries will be judged on "applicability", "appropriateness", "creativity", and "uniqueness". No phone calls, please. All submissions must be in English. Entry forms are available on our website or by stopping at the shelter. All entries will become the property of the Warren County Humane Society and will not be returned. By entering this contest entrants signify their acceptance of the official rules.

The final name will be decided by the Board of Directors of the Humane Society. If there is a duplicate entry, the first one received will be judged.

Prize will be $100 savings bond and a personalized embroidered hoodie/jacket.

Prize is not redeemable for cash and no substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted. Taxes on the prizes will be assumed by the Humane Society.

Note: Although we are not associated with a Government agency we want to gratefully acknowledge the support of the City, Boroughs, Townships and the County who through their yearly donations to our budget help us provide the services we offer.
